4 out of 5 stars A bit pricey but good protection for your Zen   November 3, 2008
joc66 (United Kingdom)
This leather case for the Zen works well for me. Although I'd agree with other reviewers that it doesn't have a screen protector when the case is open, it will be closed (and fairly securely fastened by the clever magnetic closure) when it's in your bag or pocket, so this isn't really an issue for me. The player sits comfortably inside the case. It isn't 'skin tight' but having done a few (careful) experiments, I don't think my Zen is likely to fall out either. Unlike an earlier reviewer, my case smelt 'leathery' rather than plasticky when it came out of the box. It doesn't show up too well on the picture but there is a trim of red piping around the edges of the case. If you want the all black look, you'll need to look elsewhere but I quite like the red.
All the buttons are easily accessible, as are the various ports although I do question whether the fabric label bearing the logo "Creative" is actually best placed so that it partially covers the headphone socket.
I like the way that the belt clip doubles up as a stand so you can watch videos with your digital friend sitting on your desk.
Yes, of course this is fairly expensive for a small leather pouch. But, on the other hand, it protects something that cost me lot more money very well, enhances my use (by providing that stand) and looks quite nice. You could no doubt buy a cheaper case, but it wouldn't be specifically designed for your Zen and may not protect it quite as well.

2 out of 5 stars Creative cases really have gone downhill   October 28, 2008

After forking out 13 + postage for this case, I have to say I'm very disappointed by the quality of the case.
It honestly feels like an item you'd see more at home being sold for a couple of quid at a market than an official item released by Creative.
The Zen fits relatively well into the case, but feels like an item made to accommodate a number of different models of mp3 player, not just the Zen.
You have to do better creative!

5 out of 5 stars love it!   September 17, 2008

I bought this when i first got my creative zen for my holidays in may, and its worked a treat. the Zen is very smooth and slidey so this keeps a good hold of it, and ensures the screen won't get scratched with the cover. Love the magnet on the flip of the cover to keep it closed.

Also the texture of leather is nice, feels and looks good quality!

A great buy. not one scratch on my ZEN!

:)

2 out of 5 stars Disappointing   August 30, 2008

The images on this site are misleading. Most cases of this sort come with a screen protector. This case does not. Really not worth the money.

3 out of 5 stars Decent but could be better   August 9, 2008

It really misses a cable tidy and does not have a screen protector. That said, the leather is of fairly good quality, and the case is well made. It is therefore probably a good buy, but not for 15 in my opinion.
