Compatible with iPod nano 4Gen and newer, and 120GB iPod classic and newer (with software already on the device at time of purchase).
Compatible with iPod touch 2Gen and newer, iPhone 3G and newer (you will need software such as iTalk Recorder or Easy Recorder etc. that can easily be obtained in the App Store - free versions available).
Usage
Simply attach the Pico Mini Microphone to the earphone socket on the iPod nano or iPod classic, it'll unlock the voice recording software already installed on the device, then select the 'Voice memos' option that will be shown on the main menu of the iPod.
When using it on iPod touch or iPhone, you need to download and install recording software such as iTalk Recorder or Easy Recorder etc. on the device first from the App Store - free alternatives are available.

I have just tried it out and it works very well indeed. What a bargain! At this price I will have several in different places (home, work, briefcase). the quality is sufficiently good that I will use this to record lectures at the university where I teach.

Excellent delivery and good price - however the microphone appears to be a little underpowered - using with skype / ipod touch and people on the other end always say it's quiet - and I can't seem to up the gain control?? This came promptly, is very neat, and works fine. However I shan't be using it much as it doesn't fit through the headphone socket opening in my acrylic case. Obviously this is not the fault of the product - rather of the case maker, or me not realising before buying it - but you might like to know this before purchasing. My case is a Gear4. I have cut it away at the back but don't want to do the same at the front as it would look bad and might break the seal. Now looking for a different style of mic.
