5 out of 5 stars Good even after a wash.   July 29, 2010
Clare Holt
This is great for what I need it for - at the gym and pootling about. Volume is good enough with the bass function activated. Works with the pc very easily. It's been through a complete washing machine cycle and spin dry, and still works just the same. Very good value.

2 out of 5 stars Good sound, but the comments about the USB cap are right!   July 12, 2010

Bought both this and the Samsung equivalent (YP-U5JAB) as one getting one for my dad and me. With the base option on this definitely has the better sound quality, but I agree with other reviewers on the USB protective cap. After removing circa 8 times it was getting close to dropping off on its own, to the point where I suggested to my dad he sellotape it between charging for fear of losing it (kept the Samsung as better for sports use). As an aside, it did at least open my eyes to Windows media as opposed to i-tunes (on Windows 7) and I now wish I had ripped all my music CDs on to this, but then we do have i-pods in the house as well so use i-tunes for those and Windows for the Samsung and Sony.

4 out of 5 stars No fix   June 25, 2010

A relatively good player, the song and playlist ordering isn't great and I find that the voume is too low, none of the songs I put on my player stayed in any sort of order and there was nothing that would allow me to change on the player or the computer.
My biggest gripe with this player is actually a problem with sony, this palyer lasted around six months of daily use before it stopped registering itself as an mp3 player, all the songs where gone and it would not load to the navigation system, it just started up and tried to load for thirty seconds or so before turning off again, Sony will give me no information on how to fix this, apparently this is a low end product that can only be replaced and no repairs can be done. I spent to long trying to figure this player out and if I can't just fix it I'm not going to get another one.

3 out of 5 stars A good product   June 20, 2010

A good mp3 player. Internal battery charged through USB connection: I prefer players with removable batteries. Easy to amend contents while attached to the PC through drag-and-drop. Annoying ZAP button plays chunks of following tracks. Battery life OK so far.

1 out of 5 stars Not Impressed   June 3, 2010

Not impressed with this MP3 player. The USB top is way too loose and the sound quality is poor in my opinion even with another set of headphones i was not impressed. Have returned mine the next day and purchased a Philips GoGear Spark which is very good for the same kind of money.
