Received my little gem last week and was very happy with the appearance and the battery life at first.
I had a party outside at the weekend and the unit just turns off when the sound limit is near the top end.
I have since then looked on the web and it appears their are known problems and issues with this unit.
I would love to keep this unit as their is nothing else comparible for long life battery power out there at the moment but as it is clearly faulty it has been returned to Amazon.
As usual the service from Amazon was superb.

i bought this based on the "what hi-fi" best-buy recommendation and basically no concern.
the only difficult thing to judge with their recommendations is the real level of sound quality you get for the money.
in this case, for a relatively small amount of money, you get a good basic stereo.
it's clearly not real hi-fi, but it's quite listenable as a small stereo when you want music around the house or garden.
no sign of the technical issues mentioned in other reviews (cut-off at low volume), so all in all, i'm perfectly happy with it.
only reason for not giving 5 stars is that, after all, it's only a basic stereo.

the logitech pure-fi is a great product! It delivers a great sound and is portable so you can listen anywhere you want to. the battery lasts ages and the bonus of re-charging the ipod when using makes it a great product.

1 - as an easily portable, excellent sound quality & chargeable ipod box, at the price, this system takes some beating.
2 - i haven't noticed the auto switch off during quiet music playback that some reviewers have referenced.
3 - i did have to send the first Logitech back (after only 3 weeks) as it continuously switched off at random. If yours does this, it is faulty (Logitech said so - eventually !)
4 - Don't fret about sending it back, if you have to. Filed complaint with Amazon on a Sunday. Replacement delivered on the following Tuesday with full refund of all postage. Couldn't fault the service, so fair play to Amazon.
5 - Conclusion - great little box, excellent sound, very portable, so handy for noise in the garden, or taking away camping etc.
Thoroughly recommend & thanks again Amazon for first class replacement service.

I bought one of these from Richer Sounds. I took it back because it just kept stopping. Some say it's down to its battery saving mode (surely an optional feature at best). Tried resetting it (paper clip in its bottom), used iPod at maximum volume, and made sure my IPod was bang up to date.
Looks nice, and good sound. Never found out how long the battery really lasts. Nasty switches and very poorly lit.
Would really like a compact rechargable iPod dock. Any suggestions?
