3 out of 5 stars get what you pay for   August 16, 2010

essentially this is a good product, it does exactly what it's meant to do.

Pros.
Very simple to use

Cons.
There is an irritating buzzing in between tracks and on tracks which are spoken word (I have been using language learning mp3's from my iPod)
the buzzing is MUCH worse on my iPhone, its a very high pitched squeal. You also get that 'mobile phone buzzing' when you use an iPhone - its not constant but you don't look good when it happens.

I'm thinking.
Had I of spent £60 on a Belkin one would it be much better quality - probably.
Do I wish id of bought a Belkin one? No, I'm 3 stars happy with this purchase.

5 out of 5 stars Brilliant FM Transmitter. Top Buy.   August 3, 2010
AJ427 (Leeds, UK)
Having previously owned a cheapo ipod FM transmitter that was next to useless I was somewhat sceptical about the purchase of another. However based on some reviews here I took the plunge. I was not disappointed - no more glove box (and boot) full of CDs.
The Logic 3 is easy to set up - just tune your car radio to the clearest frequencies and set the Logic 3 to the same. You can store up to 10 but to be honest I've never had to change, even though I live and commute through a very built up area (West Yorkshire) with crowded frequencies. The transmission is very strong and overcomes most other frequencies. The long cable is a factor here, helping the transmitter and also allows you to place it anywhere in the car. My car aerial is on the roof at the back but the Logic 3 works fine just sat by the gear stick. If you do still have interference problems a top tip with these FM devices is to remove your car aerial and place the transmitter close to your car radio. This should give the best possible signal.
Sound quality is as good as any FM radio station. The buzzing noise mentioned on some reviews here seems to be associated with the charger. It's only noticable between tracks or on quiet music but it disappears when the charger is turned off (there is a switch on the transmitter to do this). You won't want the charger on all the time anyway in order to preserve your ipod's battery life.
The Logic 3 is a robust device - I've had it for a couple of months now of being plugged and unplugged twice daily and it shows no sign of wear and tear.
The only cons are minor; the very long cable can get in the way a little but its benefits outweigh this. Similarly the MP3 lead also gets in the way if you are just using an ipod. This might have been better with a socket on the transmitter rather than a dual cable.
All in all I would highly recommend.

1 out of 5 stars Yuk!!!!   July 15, 2010

Totally un impressed and the product has been returned within 24 hours of purchase. There is a very annoying buzzing noise in the background that doesn't go away even after you have tried every spare frequency on your radio. All you can hear is this noise more than the track you are trying to listen to on your Ipod

i dont rate this because the most satisfactory band point i have found on my old transmitor is at 87.5 - shame this only goes down to 88.1 - right in the middle of radio2
