Superb value for money September 3, 2010

I recieved my FM Transmitter last week and have been pretty impressed so far. This is the first time I have used / purchased an ipod radio transmitter so I have nothing to compare it too sound quality wise.
I use it in the car mostly and for this it is great. The sound quality is not what you would get from a cd (i wasnt expecting it to be) but is comparable with car radio quality. You occasionally get some background hissing and weird noises but with the air conditioning on and road noise in a car you don't really notice it.
It does however make quite a noise when the charger is plugged in, the same kind of noise laptop speakers sometimes make when they are plugged in (hope you know the noise I mean, a transformer type of buzz but more high pitched). The transmitter eats the ipod battery at a fair rate but the charger does work quite quickly (not like some car phone chargers which take twice as long to charge things).
The remote control is great for the car, its fairly cheap looking but it does the job very well. Not only can you change track but you can actually scroll the menus in the ipod with it. I now know by feel which button is which now which I think its far safer than changing artist etc using the ipod itself whilst driving.
As for positioning it, I put it in my sat nav holder on the windscreen (which usefully is ipod sized :). My car has the ariel on the roof pretty much directly above where the ipod is so I dont know how it would manage if the ariel was on the boot or somewhere else.
All in all a great little product at a very reasonable price!

Hi,
I know, so many great reviews so how is mine bad, the transmitter is weak, I mean really weak, might work in a Micra lol...Too much interference and I have tried it in numpteen cars all with bad results, I also have another transmitter which works fine - however there are not many free frequencys especially if your on the motorway.
Use a hardwired connection, this is rubbish.

This is a great value for money FM transmitter. The signal strength does seem to vary, I think this is due to the connection becoming loose whilst driving, I have attached mine to the dashboard now and it seems to work better.

I HAVE TRIED A FEW WIRED TRANSMITTERS THAT ARE CONNECTED THROUGH THE JACK POINT ON MY IPOD TOUCH BUT THS PRODUCT IS WAY BETTER THAN ANY I HAVE TRIED. LOVE THE REMOTE.
