PURE Siesta DAB/FM Clock Radio - White September 3, 2010 M. Field (Kent, UK) I have been looking for a clock radio for a good while which during the night was not SO! bright you could read by it. PURE Siesta DAB/FM Clock Radio is the answer to my prayers, and with three alarm settings to boot.
Auto Dimming Issue Solved? August 23, 2010 Linda S I found this radio alarm very easy to set up. The option of multiple alarms is a bonus for anyone working shifts or for those couples who get up a different times.
I love the auto-dimmed display during the night, as my last radio alarm was so bright that I had to turn it towards the wall to get to sleep!
There has been some criticism of the auto-dimming display, insofar as it is too dark to see during the night, however, I have found that if you press the Snooze button it raises the light level for a few seconds to enable you to see the time more clearly.
The sound quality is excellent.
All in all a good buy at a reasonable price.
Highly recommended August 23, 2010 K Holliday (UK) After much research & reading of reviews I settled on this digital radio & I am very pleased that I did. It is very easy to use and has three alarm settings which is ideal if you have to do different things on different days. The snooze button is large & easy to hit in a bleary eyed 'surely it's not time to get up yet' state.
The controls are easy to use & straightforward, the radio sound quality is great & above all (which was the major selling point for me) it doesn't hum! I can't fault this radio.
Highly recommended, very good buy.
Pretty good, but not as easy to use as it could be July 24, 2010 Ben Finn (UK) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Having got through quite a few alarm clock radios in my time, my view of this one is:
1. It is attractive-looking and a nice small size.
2. The sounds quality is good (as one would expect with DAB), though the reception is imperfect (again this appears to be down to DAB rather than the radio itself).
3. It is more fiddly and less intuitive than necessary to set alarms and change radio stations. For example, there should really be buttons for your favourite radio stations so you can change channel with a single press, but instead you have to use two or three buttons to cycle through your favourites, which is fiddly to do (especially in the dark!)
4. It has one or two gimmicky features, e.g. the ability to scroll through the little line of text that DAB radio stations can transmit. Very few people will use this.
Overall I'm reasonably happy with it.
Pure Siesta Dab/Fm Clock Radio (White). May 23, 2010 David O'Leary (Ireland) Good product but for some reason it jumps a half-hour when it's switched-on to radio mode. When it's in stand-by it holds the time no problem.
Other than that it's recomendable.
