The people who are giving this five stars and raving about its audio quality are deluding themselves. I played an mp3 through my iPod on this after having just played the same one on my PC. The 40-quid PC speakers sounded better. Its audio quality is nothing special, but it may be acceptable in return for the convenience of having an iPod dock and a DAB radio in the same package.

A great item in all but one respect - check to see if it will work with your 2nd gen ipod touch - it doesn't work with mine and a couple of friends have 2nd gen touch's as well and it won't work with theirs either. It is fine with 1st gen. At the moment we don't know if it is Apple or Intempo where the problem is - Intempo say that it does work - Apple have tested my ipod and it works on other systems - just not this one. So - stalemate. Sounds like a lottery as to whether it works or not.
Update on this review:
I telephoned Intempo and recieved a replacement item (an "up to date" model) direct from them next day as promised - even though I purchased from Amazon - This one does now work. Can't complain at their service, but why are there "old" models being sold as fully compatable?

I have been looking for a replacement of JBL On Time because the On Time can't charge 2nd gen iPod touch, which I recently bought.
I decided to buy Intempo RDi after comparing the sound quality with competitors that I can connect with my iPod touch at the retail store.
For my impression, sound balance of RDi is at quite good level. RDi has a woofer on the back (you must be careful not to touch it when you hold RDi), but the sound is not too boomy. RDi offers a solid and clear sound.

Having spent weeks looking at diferent reviews of the Intempo and others,I decided to buy and I am absolutely delighted. It looks great and is so easy to use that I had it working without refering to the instructions- just used them for the little extras.Some reviews talk about the poor sound quality, well unless you are expecting expensive hi fi quality it is great .

I bought one of these in June and the underside has gradually warped. I agree with the favourable comments about the sound but mine was placed on a cool marble surface and the underside has warped so much that it now spins on its swollen underside so when you press a button the whole unit moves.
Intempo collected the unit (5pm for a morning collection) and admitted that it is a manufacturing fault and agreed to replace it - now we have to try and be in when the delivery is made.
Intempo say they don't compensate anyone for the hassle that they cause.
