This is a car charger and with a little fiddling around it does just that. However it sometimes does not charge and you have to unplug it or switch the engine off and on again. You get what you pay for, and this is cheap, so I have no complaints.

Useful little item this. My Ipod has good battery life anyway but with this, a mains charter and a couple of spare PC leads I can charge up anywhere, on the move or at home. I need never worry I will be without music.

Got this for my new iPhone 4 and works perfectly. Gives a good charge current and keeps the power levels up even when using GPS and Nav software, iPod, 3G - all at the same time.

This charger does work!! There are lots of iPhone chargers out there that say they work but only seem to charge iPods. This one does charge iPhone!! Brilliant gadget as iPhone batteries don't last that long, boost it whilst you drive!!
