5 out of 5 stars good bit of kit   August 28, 2010

The armband does what it says it does. Its comfortable to wear when running and the ipod can be operated easily through the thin plastic viewing panel.

4 out of 5 stars No problem.   August 23, 2010

For the price, what you get is amazing considering the prices of other gym armbands. I've used it on the rowing ergo, treadmill, and weights and it works perfectly on all three, you only need to slightly tighten it before running, or slightly loosen it before weights to stop it falling off, or your arm falling off! Apart from these instances it is easy to forget you are wearing it as there are no discomforts from it.
A really good product.
Also it works fine with the old ipod video, which is what i use it with.

4 out of 5 stars Excellent   August 11, 2010

This was the best reviewed product of it's type on Amazon so I bought it. It was a present for someone but it's working very well as far as I know.

4 out of 5 stars Excellent value-for-money   August 8, 2010

For the price, I couldn't have asked for more. It protects your iPod well, is reasonably comfortable and does the job. It isn't a stylish item and a couple of things could be done better but then I would probably have to pay more for that. Whilst I do like it, there are a few 'flaws' which I thought I would highlight:

1. Neoprene keeps the iPod safe from sweat but it does make you very sweaty! It does seem to be the material of choice for many of these holders though
2. The strap is not elasticated so it can constrain your blood-flow when you do bicep curls.
3. The clear plastic front is a bit cheap and not that easy to turn the volume dial.
4. My iPod classic 80gb does not fit snugly in it, but it is fine. Actually, I have found this useful as I can put my gym card behind the iPod so not really a flaw for me.

So I give it 4 stars for value for money. It would have got 5 if the strap was elasticated.

5 out of 5 stars Exactly what I wanted   July 27, 2010

I bought this for my 160Gb Classic and as a replacement for my Belkin strap which snapped after a couple of years of regular (ab)use. I haven't had this new strap for long, but immediately prefer it to the Belkin. The neoprene housing is thick and well padded, so it's comfortable to wear and feels very secure. The ipod is fully enclosed by a velcro-sealed pouch within the strap, so it will not fall out regardless of what angle you have it attached or how rigorously you move about (my ipod has a big dent in it from when it flew out of my previous strap...). The shape fits well on the contours of the arm and I don't find using the controls through the plastic face to be a problem.

The length of the velcro strap may be a potential issue for some users - I only have about half an inch of strap to spare when wearing it, and I don't have especially large arms. Someone with very large arms may find this is too small / tight to strap on comfortably.
